At SKYWARD ESL we’re raising funds and promoting initiatives to serve the people who need them most. Whether you have an advanced degree from your own country and need English proficiency to continue your profession, or you are a new college student, Skyward ESL can help you prepare to participate more fully in your college and professional life.
We Also offer free tutoring for those who have made the decision to start the process toward becoming a U.S. citizen, looking for resources than can help start preparing for the test portion of the citizenship interview.
FREE ADULT ENGLISH AS A SECOND LANGUAGE (ESL) PROGRAM
Our Roots
SKYWARD ESL provides free ESL tutoring to students at least 19 years old. The program helps students develop proficiency in grammar, reading, listening, speaking and writing skills. The program consists of six levels starting from beginner (level 1) to advanced (level 6).
Prospective students can put their name on our waiting list. When space is available, students are invited to an orientation session and take an assessment exam. Students scores help assess their needs and level of tutoring required.
Classes meet once a week from 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm and 10:30 am - 3:00 pm during he summer.
ACTIVITIES
SKYWARD ESL is in the business of changing and shaping lives. The work we do at our Non-Profit Organization is aimed at providing non-English or limited English speaking adults survive in an English speaking community.
ENGLISH AS A SECOND LANGUAGE PROGRAM
Provide language and critical thinking skills for students to succeed in the community.
ESL/FAMILY LITERACY
Covers topics such as reading with children and kinder readiness, to help our parents to be successful partners in the education for their children.
